Our ministry of Christian Education offers a number of opportunities to grow in our Christian faith.

DVD series covering a range of topics have been popular. Participants enjoy some refreshments after worship in the Fellowship Hall and then make their way to the church library for a 45-minute session viewing and discussing the day’s issue.

For Advent 2016, we were blessed by The Redemption of Scroogebased on Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol. Along the way we met the “Ghosts of Christmas past, present, and yet to come” and learned more about living with and for others in a world blessed by Jesus.

In 2017, the Lent DVD series was Final Words From the Cross. We examined Christ’s dying hours and His final words as seen and heard through the eyes and ears of those who stood near the cross. In recognition of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, we viewed and discussed This Changed Everything: 500 Years of the Reformation. We met from October through December and dealt with hot-button issues like unity, truth, and the future of the Christian church. It was an enlightening experience!

Our first DVD series for 2018 will be The Story of the Twelve Apostles, produced by the History Channel. This series will be shown during Lent on the four Sundays of March. Join us for worship, grab some refreshments afterwards, and then come to the Library for another opportunity to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Pastor also offers two New Member Classes each year: once in the fall and again in the spring. The next New Member Class will begin on January 21, 2018. Prospective members will meet with Rev. Dowse after worship in his study. For more information, please call the church office at 207-563-6843 or send the Past an email at jpdowse@gmail.com.  Our newest members will join the church on Easter Sunday, April 1
